Welcome to Rachel Shannon Pulliam!

She was born at home on 6/9 at 6:03am – 6 pounds, 11 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Mama and baby are doing well! Despite an initial request that she go back inside until she was a boy, older brother Haydn is doing pretty well with the transition.

Opportunities to meet baby Rachel and see me this summer!
1.  Division/Clinton street fair on July 23rd. Rachel and I plan to be there 10 am – 1 pm, but the other providers from the clinic will be at our booth throughout the day. Our booth will be on the south side of Clinton between 27th and 28th.

2. Healthy Living Family Medicine Community Barbecue!  August 18th 4-7 pm in the clinic parking lot (unless it rains, then we’ll be inside). We will be providing food, beverage and music. Come by – meet all the providers, Haydn and Rachel and other community members. Enjoy the very yummy food!

My main coverage between now and Labor Day will be  Windy Lyle, FNP (the fabulous family nurse practitioner).  She will be covering most evenings and weekends and will be in the office for both routine and urgent appointments Tuesdays 9-5. You can read more about her here.

From July 1st until Labor day, September 5th, urgent questions during the daytime hours (M,W,Th,F 7am-5pm), and all hours from July 22nd – August 1st, can be directed to Dr. Shay Hosseinion (503) 234-2070, 3942 SE Hawthorne Blvd. Portland, OR 97214. For urgent questions at night or over the weekend (except 7/22-8/1), please call the clinic number (971) 231-4536, and you will be directed to Windy Lyle.

The office will be open limited hours from now until Sept. 7 (Monday and Tuesday 9-5, Wednesday and Thursday 10-2. Clinic will be closed on Fridays). The office will be fully closed July 25-29.  If you have concerns that Pearl can help you with, please email her at pearl@healthylivingfamilymedicine.com or call our normal number (971) 231-4536 and speak with her or leave a message if she does not answer.

I will have updates for you about coverage for the remainder of the summer as we move forward.

Important new addition to Healthy Living Family Medicine – Annual Membership Fee.

At Healthy Living Family Medicine, our mission is to help promote wellness in our patients and their families. Our belief is that your body has a natural ability to create and sustain health. We provide patient-centered care that benefits the entire person. We want to find the root cause of symptoms, not only to alleviate them. We work with our patients to come up with a plan that is both realistic and effective. Thus, our patient care integrates medications with diet and exercise, as well as referrals to massage, acupuncture, naturopathic medicine and various other modalities. Our goal is to do this in a compassionate, cost-effective, and earth-friendly manner.
